Sweden's hottest newcomers, SONIC SYNDICATE, are currently putting the finishing touches on their second record for NUCLEAR BLAST and third record over all. Vocalist Richard Sjunnesson offered this update on the progress of the new album and their direct support slot to NIGHTWISH this May.

Metal prog pioneers BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME have received nothing but
praise since the release of their most sweeping epic yet, Colors. This
North Carolina-bred band has been hailed as one of the most fascinating
and talented bands in the metal community, and believe the hype - this
band is aiming for legendary status.
As part of the incredible Progressive Nation 2008 Tour with progressive
metal legends Dream Theater, BTBAM (as they are affectionately referred
to), will be tearing up two Canadian cities on three showstopping
nights. This tour is aiming to be the most rewarding and meaningful of
their career - Dream Theater, the grandfathers of the progressive metal
family, handpicked the band for support on this massive outing that
spans North America. The tour will stop in select U.S. and Canadian
cities throughout the month of May, as well as a few international
pauses. A May 6th Vancouver date and back-to-back dates the 9th and
10th in Calgary will be the hottest tickets in town.

It's been a busy little year for all those involved in the Megalith project.
Megalith Productions has taken off in lower mainland BC, hosting and promoting all sorts of live metal shows in our area with a view to continuing and growing.
As for content on the ol' zine, things have been scarce due to school commitments, but here are some of the events you can look forward to seeing covered here in the next few months:
Meshuggah, touring to support ObZen, are playing Mar 27, Croatian Culture Center and Mar 28, Commodore Ballroom
and, of course, Iron (fucking) Maiden with guests at the Pacific Coliseum on June 3rd.

The Megalith's editing staff are currently tending to a few piddling and bothersome affairs not related to the site.
Rest assured we'll be back soon with an update.
Dan is busy recording his ass off, and Jay is working on his academic plans to conquer areas of the planet. As for me, you ask? I've been lurking in downtown Vancouver again-- my chains were left with slack and I've broken free. There's so many lovely ladies down here, I don't know where to begin!
